Dear Trados Studio, I have just installed Trados Studio 2021 Professional [Trados Studio 2021 SR2 - 16.2.9.9198] and I am unable to set the default languages (English UK, Slovenian - in both directions). If I try File, Options, Editor, Languages, these two languages are not even available. Can you please help?
That's very odd as you shouldn't have any language restrictions in Trados Studio 2021. These particular language should also be available to you:
Maybe try a reset... if you're not looking in the wrong place?
You could use this app for the reset and this will also explain what you will lose by carrying out a reset before you do it:
But if you'd rather do this manually then rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio:
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio16
So the path would become this:
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio16_old
If you can't find this folder then you need to unhide your hidden files/folders:

Dear Paul, you are right - I did have the option to choose EN and SL, however, as I had probably already done so, the default languages were not among others. I will now see with the next document whether this works. Many thanks, Mojca.
