Importing a bilingual file where the source has been modified

Hello there,

I guess I already know the answer to my question, but I thought I'd give it a go anyway just in case.

We use bilingual files for the revision of translations. But I've recently had a client who changed the source text as well (in the source column). Is there a way to import this changed source as well?

As the French say 'l'espoir fait vivre'.

Thanks a lot

  • Not really. Create a new project, add the bilingual file, remove all content from the target side, apply the translation from your revised file and let the remaining (changed) parts be translated as new segments. Sometimes changes in source are quite irrelevant for the target, that no changes in translation are necessary. But I wouldn't know about any possibility to import the changes into an already existing sdlxliff file.
