Does it require an extra File type Filter?
Thanks for help
NB I use Trados 2021, and I have installed today the SRT Filetype plugin.
Uninstall it as it’s not required. 2021 has the srt filetype out of the box. Could be that your file is finding the one you installed, which is not the same version number.

NOK before installing it explicitely, equally NOK after.
I also went out from Trados and back.
Would powering off/on help?
Is there a real conflict of names?
NB I got the input from a FR Trados installation; mine is in EN.

Corrigendum: the translation job as such is EN-FR.
Have you tried switching to a French interface in Trados Studio and see if that helps? I’ll test this later but in the meantime it seems worth a go.

Ach...NOK... It's not about this...

Try the following. First just open the sdlxliff you have as if it was a new project. Immediately try and save the target. Does that work?
If it doesn't create a new project, use the original SRT file as source and pre-translate from a TM created from your previous work. Save the target now, does that work?
Out of interest, did you try and reuse project templates from an older version of Trados Studio?

Testing with my Trados 2019 (same machine).
Export OK. I get an srt file, which I can open in Notepad or MS Word.
Even though ".srt" is assigned with yet another Filetype designation (SubRip).
I may have to validate all the segments in Trado 2021 to have an exhaustive TM,
then apply this TM in Trados 2019.
-> It all may have to do with the soundness of my Trados 2021.
Cf the still not resolved problems evoked some months ago,
Again yesterday, I could not save to a directory of my choice.
Can I roll back from the package totally safely ?
So... when you open the project in 2021 and look here in the files view what do you see?
