I've read through similar posts, but cannot find the fix I need, please. See screen shot below. The project was saved to OneDrive and I got this message; I've moved it locally but I get the same message. This is a single-file translation that I've created. Many thanks for your help.
I have the same problem and this is not the fisrt time. I've been working with Trados since 2011. I had to pay for support tha was useless. They say it's a problema with OnDrive but this has never happened before. Ihave wasted valuable time trying to solve this problem with no success.

I hope you followed the advice of removing OneDrive from your working folder and didn’t let this reason to decide anything.

I guess that creating a new project and pre-translating with the TM are the only steps needed.
The techinicians ask me to create a folder to "bypass" onedrive, what I did but the problem of Trados closing unexpectedly occurs the same.. As you can see on the screenshot, the project setting box is not active, so I have NO TM

It happens to me as well from time to time, more often than Microsoft Word crashes, but I can live with it. You said you had the same problem, but this issue doesn’t have anything to do with the original post, does it?

The Project Settings button shouldn't be disabled, not surprised the TM seems to be missing, but the root cause is probably not related to the TM…
I don’t know why you highlighted the status bar…
Maybe Paul will agree that it’s better to open a new post. If so, please do it and link to this post, and include your Trados Studio version and the type of license. Include the answer of the following questions:
While I understand how desperate you can feel with issues while working, only cool facts (what is working or not, and what you have already tried under which circumstances) will help narrow down the issue. Sticking to the facts, even if difficult, is the best way to communicate an issue.
Last, with a paid support as you said you have, I’d send a ticket to RWS, they a need to solve your problem!

This has nothing to do with whether you have a TM or not. Project Settings are always available and if it's greyed it's because you don't have a project selected. I know you have a file open in the editor but that doesn't mean you have a project selected and unfortunately Trados Studio is a but funny about the selection of the project.
Go to your projects View and activate the project you are actually working in.

I don’t know why you highlighted the status bar…
I did have the TM, I generally work with packages and I can't eliminate or change the TM. I highlighted the 100% on the status bar to show you I had finished the translation. I didn't have any problems while working, it was at the end that the error message appeared. The project setting button disabled and i couldn't save the work nor find the TM.
Last, with a paid support as you said you have, I’d send a ticket to RWS, they a need to solve your problem!
I paid for a 3 months support. I stayed at leat 5 hours in 3 occasions with different technicians who didn't solve the problem.Now, to get new support I have to write and wait that someone decides to answer. As you should know, we work with a little time margin so i can't wait. This conversation with you takes a lot of time and most of the times I'm short of ot.
The project is present only on the editor screen, not on the projects and neither on the files. I mention the TM because if i could find it, i would add it to the project and would be able to get the translation back. That is not possible so I'll start all over again

If I unselect projects (clicking on the empty area below the project list), can repro it in Project view, but not in Editor view… What would be the steps?

I can only do it by deliberately opening a file in the Editor and then switch to the projects view and select another project, then remove that project from the projects view so that I'm left with nothing selected. Now go back to the editor view and the project settings should be greyed out.
It's crazy really as the active project should always be the one you're working on... but it hasn't been for a while. Creates havoc for some of the plugins too!
