Trados Freelance 2021 not saving any changes on xliff files

Recently bought it, activated the license, but I can't work on it, cause it doesn't save any of my changes.

Please shed some light on what can be happening and how to fix it.

    1) maybee this issue might happen when you directly open your xliff-file from your email-client. If you reopen it it will be refering to the temp file from your email-client. Your updated file might be saved to another location on your harddisk. Maybee try a tool like Filelocator Pro (Mythicsoft) or simular to find the updated version.
    2) Also the save-location might cause a problem. (Even different partitions on your HDD might cause problems...)
    3) Also check project preferences.
    Personally i prefer to create projects so i know whats happening in the background (even with 1 file translations).
