Studio 2022: Term Recognition not working, but in Studio 2021 it does

Dear friends,

Ever since Studio 2022 was launched in 24 May, Term Recognition has not been working. After researching the topic in previous versions, I tried all the possible remedies proffered. I also tried renaming the MutilTerm17 folder, even though it now resides in a different place from earlier versions. Whatever I do, I can't get Term Recognition to work, even though words that do exist in the termbase are indeed marked with a red line. When clicking Term Recognition in the View menu, the cursor briefly blinks. Then, nothing. When I click it subsequently, there is no reaction at all, no matter how many times I click. By the way, I am talking about the desktop version. I never work in the cloud at all.

In Studio 2021, everything is still working as it should. I opened my project in Studio 2021 and could just continue working where I left off in Studio 2022. So, I am not stuck.

Perhaps one should steer clear of Studio 2022 for a while? ;-)

Best regards,

  • Thank you very much.

I did try that, as well as the many other solutions that were suggested in various places. The problem was, and still is, that the very Term Recognition window itself refuses to appear. However, after uninstalling and reinstalling both MuliTerm and Studio 2022 for the second time, I once again tried the Alternative Translation Layout. There, the window now does appear and is working well. There still is a hiccup, though, although I can live with it. The hiccup is that, in the Alternative Translation Layout, the Concordance Search window does not appear in the same space as the Translation Results window, the way is does in the standard view. However, by floating it, I have been able to transfer it to an adjacent monitor.

    Best regards,
