TS 2021 does not launch after update

Hello!

After downloading Trados Studio 2021 SR2 16.2.10.9305, Trados Studio doesn’t launch. There is no error message. After clicking on the shortcut, it flashes quickly but then it disappears.

I have already tried, to no avail:

- Running as administrator

- Maximizing TS window (there isn't any window to be maximized)

- Disabling OneDrive

- Resetting TS to default state: I cannot see the files and folder paths mentioned in the article, not even after changing the view settings in File Explorer.

- Of course, re-starting my computer.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

  • First make sure you don't have any plugins installed as you may have one that needed to be updated to support the latest release of 2021 SR2.  

    Please close Trados Studio, delete these folders and restart Trados Studio:

     c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins

     c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins

     c:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins

    If that doesn't help then please create a new thread and don't piggy back on one that already has a case assigned to it.  This way we can convert your specific issue to a support case easily to get you some assistance from the technical support team.
