I use Office 365 for Business.

Now Word as spell checker is working with the above settings, but previously it worked without allowing all macros...

When trying to add a word to Word dictionary from Studio the same Office message as above appears in the background. Studio crashes afterwards. So the Word as spell checker is not really working. Something has changed over the weekend, because AFAIR it did work before.

I added an item for my team to look into for CU1 for a full fix; I find it a bit weird as we did not release anything over the weekend

Windows update most probably.

Then would a Windows Repair on Microsoft 365 and Studio make things run more smoothly? Actually, I expect you've already done that...

I have not worked much with Studio 2022 so far and had not thought of checking the SpellChecker: I switched from Hunspell to MS Word and it was a quick ans smooth operation. I am using MS Office 2019 and my Windows 10 is fully updated.

It has worked before. There must have been an MS update recently, which I did not notice. I work with Office 365 64 bit on Windows 11 Pro 64 bit. This might be an important information. I have already run a repair installation of Studio, but not yet of Office. Might try that later.

But the problem seems to be the macro executed in that file (path stated above), which is being blocked by Office. Unfortunately, the method described by MS to activate the macro, is not available on my PC. A partial solution is to allow all macros, but this only allows to ignore words, not to add them to Word dictionary.
