I have received an sdlppx from the customer which, when opened in Trados 2022, shows no content (no files contained).
Opening it in Trados 2021, on the other hand, works. But I see in it a file with zero words content. Maybe that's the reason why it doesn't work with 2022.
I am not allowed to send you the customer's ppx for examination, but would send the blank xliff.

What you could do to validate what has been sent is the following:
1. create folder and place page in folder
2. rename package from sdlppx to sdlppx.zip
3. Extract Content
4. Locate sdlxliff files and review file size
5. See what happens if you open files individually in Studio
*however this will act as a good troubleshooting exercise and you could start translating in good faith your efforts are saved in TM. However you would be working out side the package workflow and could complicate how the translation work is to be returned.

I was able to create a new project with the xliff files from Trados 2021, omitting the empty file, and open it in Trados 2022.
Unfortunately, this did not allow me to create a return package and I had to go back to Trados 2021.
No matter what the original cause was, if the package can be opened in 2021, then it MUST also work in 2022. So there is a bug here in the new version.

I don't think we can conclude this without being given the opportunity to see the package you received. It's already odd that you have files with zero content in there, but I'll reserve further commentary on that until we can see the package. If you can't share the package then we have nothing to investigate and nothing to fix.

I can send you the file in question, it has a size of 56 kB. if you put it together with your own sdlxliff files in a project, you might see where the problem is. Where can i send it? Insert Image/Video/File does not seem to work for binary files
I'm interested in the package which you said will not open. I'm not interested in the empty sdlxliff file as this could well be the result of careless preparation. Ths would be useless without the source file.

None of the files in a package are binary unless you have binary source files in there.

That's not the point, I don't know what's in it. I tried to upload this file using the Insert Image/Video/File function here, it doesn't seem to work.
