I started to get this error message after I tried to set up RWS's private app store in Trados 2022's app management utility. Something went wrong (I believe the address was copied with spaces at the end), and the result now is that every time I start Trados, I get this message, and after a few seconds the program just shuts down. Already tried reinstalling Trados, but the problem persists.
Can anyone help, please?
Maybe delete this file and restart Studio?

I had to do a total uninstall (manually deleting everything belonging to Trados), then installing the program again - only then I managed to get access to the Store integration settings page.
It's amazing how an admittedly stupid yet innocent mistake (in this case copying an address with spaces at the end) can bring down the whole program. This gives 'reliability' a whole new meaning. Imagine you use Excel and enter a number with a space at the end, and this leads to a crash of the program. I think the devs of Trados should think about it a little.

I played around with this a little and I don't believe that spaces is a problem at all. I tested many times and even tried adding loads of them!
Every time STudio works and the only problem is that I get a blank page because the URL is no onger recognised. So I think it's worth adding a trimmer to the code to remove the blank spaces, but I think the problem Margus Enno reported was caused by something else that we don't know.
Perhaps Margus can test it again? And if the problem reoccurs it can probably be solved easily by editing this file:

So I can delete the spaces and restart Studio. But I really doubt this is the problem.

Whatever the problem, I think it is worthwhile to find out. I'm not gonna test it again - no wish to go through the ordeal again, sorry. The devs are better equipped for this kind of thing anyway.

Fair enough. For now we have no idea what the problem was. Your conclusion is incorrect and we have no other details to go on. If we can't reproduce it we have nothing to fix. Could be a one-off problem caused by something on your machine for all we know.
I think if we see more reports of this we'll try and get more information from those users when it happens. Until then, case closed.

We had exactly the same problem as Margus E. We resolved the issue by removing the trailing white space after the URL in the settings.json file as described by Paul (see screenshot above). Studio 2022 no longer crashes and we can now access the (provisional) private AppStore.

In my case, it was a leading space before the "https... No idea how I put that in when pasting the URL. I deleted it, restarted Studio, and the contents of my private AppStore is now visible.
@developers: Please configure the URL field in such a way that this kind of input (leading or trailing spaces) is impossible as long as it prevents the private AppStore contents from showing. I think it cannot be expected of the ordinary user to edit a json file deep down in the user settings of the OS just to show the private AppStore.

Just want to add info that the same problem happened to me to. A trailing space added to private store URL.
I deleted it and it resolved the issue.
Paul , it would make sense to update one of the top offered KB articles, to include this possible cause - with the image you created and added in your reply to Margus. Suggestion to check the settings.json and that image were very useful.
