Termbase suddenly stops working

Hi everyone Slight smile

Lots of people seem to have encountered this issue but I couldn’t see any fix to this. Maybe someone can help?

I am working on Trados 2021 with Windows 11. Up until now, everything has been fine with my termbases (including this one).

2 days ago, a big termbase (17.000+ terms) simply stopped delivering suggestions Thinking

I can still search for terms and get the correct answer and I can still add new terms to it. It just simply does not work dynamically.

Hammer pick

I tried a “repair”-function: no success.

I recreated the termbase under another name and reimported it into the project. It worked perfectly for 1hour and then stopped again.

Do you have any idea what is happening and how I can fix this? Pray

 Ingrid

  • I have a similar issue. Termbases added to projects worked with no problem until today. Now they are loaded (I can search for terms manually, and I can view/edit term details), but termbases aren't searched automatically, and all the search window displays is "No results available."

Please note that I didn't change anything - I didn't update the software, I didn't create new projects, I didn't add new termbases or modify the existing ones (that used to work yesterday). The problem affects ALL the projects and termbases added to them, which means that the entire termbase automatic search feature isn't working. After it stopped working, I repaired SDL Trados, but it didn't help.

My SDL Trados version is 2019 SR2 - 15.2.8.3007, the OS is Windows 10.

I wonder if there's anything I could do to fix that.
