QA - Numbers and measures

Hello everyone :)

I hope you can help me: I have a big project with lots of metrics. They're of different kinds, measures, hours, numbers aso.

I've changed the settings for this language pairs and told Trados to "always add an unbreakable space" between a number and the unit after. But the QA still counts it as an error...

Screenshot of Trados Studio showing a QA error for spacing between a number and unit in a German segment.

I have also installed Trados Numbers Verifyer, but it also counts this as an error (not every time, though) and adds other false error types to boot.

What do I do wrong? Can you help me?

Ingrid

  • Hi Jesus and thank you for your patience! I just delivered an enourmous project that required my undivided attention...

I just tried your suggestion, but as you can see, my screen doesn't show that Language Resources window for any specific language pair: Trados Studio screenshot showing the Language Pairs settings with English (United States) to French (France) selected, but no specific Language Resources window visible.

I does show for the general TM settings, but then it says the language resources are set on default settings and I have no ressource available here, as I should go to the specific language pairs:

Trados Studio screenshot displaying a warning message under Project Settings that reads 'Specify the linguistic resources to use when no translation memory has been specified.'

I am working with Trados Studio 2021 Freelance. Does that make a difference?
