In the event it's a sentence under different context (heading, list item etc)  it will be appropriately managed in 1 entry.
If its number formats, it stores 1 example of each and all variations (number substitutes) will be appropriately managed in 1 entry.

That said I am concerned by your overall understanding of the process.
If implemented successfully, Project TM's are created during project creation.

Project Translation Memories are typically updated automatically on the fly (Ctrl + Enter) as users edit or add new translations, with your Main Translation Memory potentially acting as a reference point.

If your objective is to ensure your most recent translation for a particular project are appropriately saved, then to some extent disregard your Project TM.
It was simply a transitional reference while your translations get finalised. Its not a database that gets referenced for future projects.
