Of course! But if you don't have anything in your TM then you obviously won't get any results. Why are you asking this... what problems are you having?

I have translated a software from .ini file. Now, the software producer required an update. I want to use the same TM which I have produced in first translation. I do not want to use Google MT. I want all previous TM entries would be taken from TM by pre-translate feature. There may be empty segments which might have been added. I can fill the empty segments myself. The -ini file is very long.
Two approaches to this. You could use the update file approach in your existing project. Just right-click on the file in your Files View of the project and work through the wizard:

Create a new project with your new file, make sure you use the same TM as you used originally, and the project creation process will probably pre-translate the file for you from your TM. Perhaps just change this setting to lower the 100% to help get lower fuzzy values populated and pick up small textual changes in the updated file:
This pre-translate batch task can be run when you create your project, or at any time at all through the batch tasks menu:

Translate single file.
I selected the anyTM which I used before.
I selected the docx file.
It updates TM but it gives error during pre-translate
