Dear Studio users,
is there any possibility to run the pre-translation task applying a filter (regex) to prevent Trados from generating segments containing only numbers/ numbers+symbols / alphanumericals, etc?
Thanks in avance!

I do not know how to do that during pretranslation.
But you can open the files BEFORE pretranslating, use the segment filer from Review tab and filter all non-translatable content using this Regex:
^[\d\W]*$
Then select all filtered segments, set them to "Sign-off rejected" and lock. This way all the content will be ignored and never come into the TM.

Why don't you filter on them and exclude them from being included in the pretranslation in the first place? This can be done before you pretranslate, or you could replace them afterwards... whatever works for you. You can also do this across multiple files/projects.
This was actually discussed earlier this week in this thread:

Well, maybe the way I do it is not the best....in the project creation stage, I set the value of coincidence in the pretranslation window and confirm, so it runs it automatically (before actually opening the files). But I guess I can skip pre-translation and run it later, after locking the filtered segments.
Paul,I see the discussion was long, I will study the information and see how I can do it. Thanks for answering!
