I was wondering how the word list in QA Checker 3.0 is saved. Is it possible to import and export the values.
Specifically, I would like to be able to import a set of values received from a customer as a two column Excel sheet?

From what I can make out it seems to be saved in the project in question in the .sdlproj file. I notice it uses <CorrectWord> and <WrongWord> as well as <_CorrectWord> and <_WrongWord> tag pairs.
Presumably I could import more in this way, but why do I need the two different tag pairs for each correct and wrong word?
Will something break if I don't have both <CorrectWord> and <_CorrectWord> variants?

It’s possible to export the Word list, along the other project settings (regex rules and so on). This is done via Project Settings > Verification > QA Checker 3.0 > QA Checker Profiles. Maybe not exactly what you want, but this is what I’d do: first import settings from then client into a dummy project, and then copy & paste only the word list to the actual project. I believe you need to edit also the number of entries. Don’t forget to make a backup of your project, just in case something goes wrong.

I tested it some time ago and it worked: somehow Trados Studio re-created the elements with or without the underscore if I deleted anyone of them. But it doesn’t mean it’ll work in the future.
