Hi,
Can I do it myself with Trados, or it has to be made by my client' webmaster?
Translation form EN to FR
Text display would be nicer visually and easier to read.

What do you exactly want to do? Adding bold or italic is not your task at all. We are translators and not formatters...

I want to format a paragraph.
As we have more words in French than in English, the text is sometimes longer. When the paragraph is not cut at the right point, it may also altered the whole meaning of the message.
I also charge for linguistic, structural, and stylistic revision, as I also act as a consultant.
Adding line breaks in Trados Studio does not make any slightest sense, as you cannot see the final layout of the document. This kind of task should always be performed in the final format, like Word, InDesign or other. Only there you will be able to see how the text appears in real.

Thank you for your reply Jerzy! I was curious as to whether it was feasible or not.
Hi Helene Minville ,
We sometimes insert returns in headers if the delivery is the return package. If the filetype is Word, InDesign, etc., you can insert a soft return in Trados Studio by typing SHIFT+ENTER at the position you need... As Jerzy mentioned, chances are that the inserted soft return is not in the right position and creates a second return in the final file.
On the other hand, if you deliver the final Word or InDesign file already formatted, then you add the soft return in Word or InDesign, not in Trados Studio.

In addition to what Jesús said you should know, that some formats will ignore the line breaks or tabs added in Studio. This happens certainly when you process memoQ files in Studio: tabs and line breaks added in Studio do not appear in memoQ. So I can imagine same will be happening in other xml based formats. I am even not sure, if html will keep these.
