ok - based on EXACTLY what you said here, is your source file an XLIFF with only SL populated?  If it is you could easily add both EN and DA as additional languages to this XLIFF seeing as XLIFF can actually be multilingual and then use the Multilingual XML filetype to handle the XLIFF in any way you like.

You could deliver the final translated XLIFF with all three languages in there, or just remove the EN so it only contained SL and DA.

So I guess the starting point of this question is what format is your source in, and when you say XLIFF is this what you mean?  We can also convert any file supported by Trados Studio into a simple XLIFF file (so not SDLXLIFF, just a basic XLIFF) if necessary.

Maybe you could use the Bilingual Excel file type to solve this issue:
Copy the SL text into column A of an Excel sheet and define columns B for EN and C for DA.

Then adjust the settings for the Bilingual Excel so that source is column A and target column B.

Translate this file and create the target file. It has SL in column A and EN in column B.

Then, change the settings to source = B and target = C, translate this file and create the target file.

Now, change the settings again to source = A and target = C and load the file in Trados. It should have SL in the source column and DA in the target column. Thus, you have an sdlxliff file as desired by your client.
