Unable to save target file. BuildResource and Inner Exception errors
Unable to save target file. BuildResource and Inner Exception errors
Hi Chris,
I'm not familiar with this error message (and it's always good to tell us what version of Studio you are using), but I'd try the following:
Another possible solution if the DOC source file needs fixing is to save it as DOCX and try again with that.

Hi Chris,
The commonest reason for what you describe happening with Word-based projects is complicated formatting or content in the Word file itself.
If item 2 of Paul's list is the case, you might find it works to copy the text from the Word document and paste it into a new blank document.
Here's a simple example of how this might work:
Click into the original Source Word document, hit CTRL+A; CTRL+C; move to new document then CTRL+V. Save.
Re-translate the new document (using the memory from the previously translated document) after FIRST checking it will save to Target, then you can paste from your new translated Target document back into a COPY of the original source document. This will re-include any other content that was excluded from the text copied across and might have been causing the trouble (which then might need manual translation of course).
Steps: CTRL+A; CTRL+X in source copy. CTRL+A; CTRL+C in new document then move to now empty source copy and CTRL+V.
Things get more complicated if the content that is causing the failure to save to Target is part of the main body of the text in the Word document. It could be a complex interactive image or Excel table, or an active link / macro, for example. You'd then need to delete that from the new pre-translation source Word document before processing it, then re-incorporate it afterwards.
Hope this helps
All the best,
Ali
