Bilingual Excel format not applied when opening a document

Question

Dear community! 
 Trying to prepare a bilingual Excel so that the translation from column "Requisito" would go directly into the column "Requirements". All the necessary configuration (previous to the opening of the file) is done, however, the Editor window shows the entire content of the document and when translations are done, they are not inserted into the F column (Requirement), but appear in their original cells (Requisito column): 
 
 I checked the configuration with a another (newly created) Excel, containing cells with text and numbers and several columns and it works just fine (segments with numbers only are excluded and only text content is shown). 
 Maybe the reason is the format of the document I am working with (with all these pop-ups)? 
 Can anything be done? Or just translate as a common Excel and then fix it manually?

 This seems to be a give away that you are not actually using the filetype you think you are. If all the file content is being brought into the editor the you are most likely already using the "common" Excel filetype and not the Bilingual Excel filetype at all. 
 I would check your project templates to make sure that the Bilingual filetype is set up so it can actually be used.

 I created a project, exactly the same settings as you, and translated the first segment with too many chars:

I deliberately used too may chars and on confirming an error is thrown. 
 The error reports my target length 44 exceeds the max. 20. 
 The context is also shown. 
 
 So, first point is your settings seem fine and the file seems to handle perfectly. Of course this doesn't preclude your file not being the same. A sample would have helped! Here's mine in case you want to test it: ML_Excel.zip

 I think it's clear you are not using the right filetype! I suggest you do some basic checks. For example... when you create your project take a look and see which filetype is associated with the file... that's always a good idea before you waste all your time: 
 
 If it's not being picked up ten check the obvious: 
 
 are you using a different template to create your project than the one you configured? 
 is the Multilingual Excel filetype enabled? 
 Is the Multilingual Excel filetype above your other XLSX filetypes in your filetype settings? Studio will take the first enabled Excel filetype it comes to.

 Obviously because you are not using the Multilingual Excel filetype! Once you are just make sure that you also run the Import Multilingual Translations (Excel) batch task when you create your project because this is how the context gets in there.

 Neither need translation. These are just columns that contain information you might want to expose to the translator.
