Spaces and markers (e.g. RTL markers) are not visible in Studio 2022 CU6 in RTL languages. Also, when using the arrows, you go in Western directions (-> should follow the Arabic text direction and it isn't)
There are a number of known issues around 2022 and the use of BiDi markers. There will be an update very soon to SR1 that introduces many new improvements in the editor and support for BiDi languages is one of them.
Keep an eye out for the SR1 update in the next few weeks.

Hello Paul,
Apologies for replying this late - I've found the issue was fixed in 2022 SR1 Beta but now a similar behavior is observed in the SR1 version which we are testing. The insertion of markers causes parts of the text disappear or create empty (selectable) space in the segment. Please find a step record and xliff attached. Please could you advise how to prevent it?

You can't. But it has been discussed a couple of times in this forum already and it is a known problem that the dev team are working on. Should be resolved in a future update.

We reproduced and working on a fix as we speak. Meanwhile, a work around for this is to toggle off "Show whitespace characters". When the toggle is on, the editor has to insert a new visible character to represent the BIDI marker and it messes things up.
