Problem to update TM or finalize a file - Trados Studio 2017

Hello. I have Trados Studio 2017 SR1 - 14.1.10018.54792

I could not update or finalize a file. When I try to do it appears the error message "This file is not admitted"

I have already repaired and reset but the problem is not solved

Trados Studio batch processing window showing an error message 'This file type is not supported' with one notified message and one error.

Thank you in advance for your help

I don't speak Spanish but I think it might be saying "This file type is not supported" and maybe "Updating project translation memories"... or something like that.

If you open the file in your project into the editor view, and then press Shift+F12 are you able to save the target file?

If you open your project files, and then open the target SDLXLIFF file in a completely new project can you save the target file from there?

  • Yes, I was able to save the target file by pressing Shift+F12.  But I could not open the target SDLXLIFF file in a completely new project.

    Why not? What happened?

Can you show a screenshot of the file you are trying to add to a project?

Can you explain how you tried this?  The easiest way is to simply press Ctr+Shift+O in Trados Studio and select the SDLXLIFF file.  Once it opens press Ctrl+S to save it.  If that works you will now have a single file project.

  • Hello, Paul.

Here is a screenshot of the file (it is a PDF file) and the following screenshot of the steps I followed.

I tried to use the easiest way you mentioned pressing Ctr+Shift+O but it failed.
