wsxz package cannot be imported after update to 2022 17.1.6.16252 - Error System.IO.FileLoadException: Die Datei oder Assembly "ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib..."

We have even updated before the Worldserver compability package just to make sure its not from that.

Anybody else have this issue? Our plan is to revert back to a older version. Can somebody from the Trados Team open a ticket for this?

  • Hello,

Based on the error message you provided, it seems like there's an issue with the ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib assembly, which is a library used for handling zip files. This could be due to a compatibility issue with the updated version of Trados Studio you're using.

Here are the steps you can follow to troubleshoot this issue:

Step 1: Ensure that you have the latest updates for Trados Studio. You can check for updates within the application.

Step 2: Try to reinstall the WorldServer compatibility package. This can be done from the RWS AppStore.

Step 3: If the issue persists, you might want to consider reverting back to an older version of Trados Studio that was working fine with the WorldServer packages. You can do this by uninstalling the current version and reinstalling the older version.

Step 4: If none of the above steps work, you might want to consider removing the *.tbx and the xcs.xml file from the package as a workaround. This was suggested in the previous conversation. However, please note that this will result in you not being able to view the terminology while working on your WorldServer project's bilingual file.

Please note that it's always recommended to have a backup of your data before making any changes.

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Best regards,
