プロジェクトパッケージでの作業時に、翻訳メモリを後から追加する方法を教えてください


こんにちは。私は先日、Trados Studio 2022のStarter版を使用中に、新たにFreelance版を購入した者です。


まず、「翻訳メモリ」ビューが開かず、「この機能を有効にするには、ライセンスをアップグレードしてください」と表示されます。

また、「エディタ」ビューの「ホーム」タブで「プロジェクトの設定」→「翻訳メモリと自動翻訳」→「使用」→ドロップダウンリストから「ファイル共有タイプの翻訳メモリ」を選択すると、「使用しているStudio Editionでは、1つの翻訳メモリしか使用できません。複数の翻訳メモリを使用できるようにするには、ライセンスをアップグレードしてください」と表示されます。

Freelance版で上記の機能が使えないのは正常ですか。もし正常な場合は、Freelance Plus版にアップグレードする必要があるということでしょうか。ご教授いただければ幸いです。どうぞよろしくお願いします。

  • Sorry, I just want to add an additional translation memory to my ongoing project package. I had used the Starter version for the past several years and before it expired, I've purchased and activated the Freelance version. I tried to use the Translation Memory view, but I only got the following error message : "You must upgrade the license to use this function (in Japanese)"

    Deactivate the product through the help menu, then delete this file:

    c:\ProgramData\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio17\Data\Studio.lic

    Then restart Studio and activate it again making sure you use your Freelance activation code or subscription. See if that helps/

    I successfully reset/deactivated my Freelance license via the RWS Account, but I found the product still active with the Starter license.

    When I purchased the Freelance version, the Starter edition was still available (and has not yet expired) and I didn't deactivate the Starter license before activating the Freelance one. This is probably why I failed to use more than one TMs.

    After I found the Starter edition was active, I also deactivated it, and then the product began to run normally, although I didn't (and also can't) enter the Freelance activation code for reactivation. Now I can use the TM functions without problems, but no activation code is shown in the Product Activation window (The activation code used on this machine is: [blank]). Could you please tell me if I can continue using the product in this condition?
