Trados does not recognise the terminology database of a server.

I have updated Trados 2021 to the latest version and it does not recognise the terminology database of a package. I have created one for myself and it does recognise it, but the one from an external server is not recognised. I have also updated the World server app and it still doesn't work. I cannot manipulate this BDT because it is not physical.

  • Hello,

I understand that you're having trouble with Trados Studio recognizing the terminology database from an external server. This can be a bit frustrating, but don't worry, I'm here to help.

Here are the steps you can follow:

Step 1: Ensure that you have the latest version of Trados Studio installed. You mentioned that you have updated to Trados 2021, which is great.

Step 2: Make sure that you have the latest World Server Components installed. You can find these in the RWS AppStore.

Step 3: Once you have the latest World Server components installed, try opening the WSXZ package again.

Step 4: If the problem persists, it might be due to the settings of the external server. You may need to check with the server administrator to ensure that the settings are correct and that Trados Studio has the necessary permissions to access the terminology database.

Remember, Trados Studio can only recognize and use databases that it has the correct permissions to access. If the database is on an external server, the server settings and permissions could be preventing Trados Studio from recognizing it.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Best regards,
