Hi Paul,  Thanks for your suggestions. Our IT department have tried to repair our Office suite. This remedies the issue, BUT as soon as I save any macros via a docm to my Word templates the error appears again. Do you know if Trados has issues with Word if macros are saved in the Word templates?

In fact I don't know.  But if you have a file  can see I'd be happy to try it and see if I can reproduce the problem?  If I can then I can log a case with support and possibly development if they can validate it's a bug and not something else.

A docm would be best so I can test your theory.  Better to make it available as a download from somewhere so our email system won't strip it out.  Send to pfilkin at sdl dot com.

Hi Paul. I am running Trados 2022 Professional. 
Is there any solution to this issue? The only way to use the Word spellchecker is to delete the Word macros and it is quite annoying. 

In fact, it's not necessary to delete them but at least they need to be disabled. Usually, the user is prompted to disable the macros when changing the spellchecker but not all the times.
