Error message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

Good afternoon,

I'm running a trial version of Trados Studio 2022 SR1 - 17.1.6.16252. (don't want to let go of my 2021 version until I know for sure this new version does better than the old).

Everything was working just fine, until last Friday suddenly the error message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" appeared each time I created a new project.

Error message in Trados Studio 2022 SR1 stating 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object' with a stack trace reference to TranslationMemoryApi and ProjectApi components.

All goes well, until Studio tries to analyze the files.

I'm not working in the cloud.

I tried upgrading my TM's but that doesn't work. 

Updated my .NET version as suggested in an older post on the community.

Still not able to create a project (incl analysis).

Do you have any other suggestions?

    Hi  ,

    It would help better even if we had the full stacktrace attached:

    Error dialog box with red X icon, message 'An error occurred in the application. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.' with OK button. Arrows pointing to 'Click here' and 'Advanced Editing Options' in Trados Studio interface.

    However, looking at the image, I can still see the error is very likely triggered by the translation memory. I would recommend creating a project from scratch without adding a TM, and without any project template, if you use one and see if you get same error.

    Let me know how it goes, so we explore other options!
