error while converting memoq files in Trados Studio 2021

Hello! Lately I'm having troubles to convert memoq files to translate in Studio 2021.

I'm attaching the error messages I get when I try to create a translation package as well as when I try to translate each single file.

Do you have any ideas?

Note that it didn't happen before and I have the latest memoq version installed on my PC (but no full license, that's why I want to translate the files with Studio).

Thank you in advance!

Sara

  • Hello Sara,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble converting memoQ files in Trados Studio 2021. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Step 1: Ensure that you have the latest version of Trados Studio 2021 installed. You can check for updates within the application.

Step 2: Try to open the memoQ files directly in Trados Studio 2021, instead of creating a translation package. Trados Studio 2021 should be able to handle memoQ files without the need for conversion.

Step 3: If the error persists, it might be due to a compatibility issue between the versions of memoQ and Trados Studio 2021. In this case, you might need to save the memoQ files in an older format that is compatible with Trados Studio 2021.

Step 4: If none of the above steps work, you might want to consider reinstalling Trados Studio 2021. Sometimes, a fresh installation can resolve unexpected issues.

Please note that these are general troubleshooting steps and might not resolve your specific issue. If the problem persists, I would recommend seeking further assistance from a technical expert in the field.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Best regards,
