In Studio 2021 I have (among other TMs) a TM with MT records (provided by client). It has a translation for each segment in my project. I have a 20 points penalty for this TM but this has no bearing on the following.

In Options->Editor->Concordance Search Window I have the Search setting "Perform search if TM lookup returns no results" activated.
Options->Editor->Automation->Apply automated translation if no TM match is found is deactivated.

When I enter a new and empty segment the Concordance results show up instead of the TM results pane if the only TM match is from the MT-TM. (For clarity: If there are matches from other TMs the TM results pane is shown.)

When I deactivate "Perform search if TM lookup returns no results" only the TM results pane is shown, as to be expected.

When Options->Editor->Automation->Apply automated translation if no TM match is found is activated the MT-TM match is indeed applied and the TM results pane is shown, as it should.

Questions:

From this I would conclude that a MT match even though coming from a TM does not count as a TM match. Is this right? Is this intended?

Is there a setting to the effect that the TM results pane will be shown if any TM match is found (no matter what its properties) and the Concordance pane is shown only if there is no TM match at all?

Would Studio handle the varous MT flavours, ie. AT vs NMT ... differently?
