Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute.

When translating and with propagation, automatic or not, I suddenly get the following error message:

Error dialog box with message: Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute. Buttons for Knowledge Base and Community are present, along with an OK button.

And Trados shuts down (crashes). This suddenly stops my translation, and I have to re-open it, which by the way, takes a very long time, thus causing me a large waste of time.

Can anybody kindly help me with this issue?

Thank you in advance.

  • Hello,

I understand that you're experiencing an issue with Trados Studio crashing and displaying an error message. This can indeed be frustrating, especially when it interrupts your work.

Based on the error message you've shared, it seems like there might be an issue with the Trados GroupShare application. However, please note that from the Trados GroupShare 2020 SR1 CU6 release onwards, this specific error message is now displayed as a warning message and can generally be ignored.

Here are a few steps you can take to try and resolve this issue:

Step 1: Ensure that you're using the latest version of Trados Studio. You can check for updates within the application.

Step 2: Try to clear the cache of your Trados Studio. You can do this by going to "File" > "Setup" > "Options" > "Files" > "File Types" > "SDLXLIFF" > "General" and then click on "Clear Cache".

Step 3: If the problem persists, you might want to consider reinstalling Trados Studio. Remember to back up your translation memories and project files before doing so.

Step 4: If none of the above steps work, it might be a more complex issue that requires further investigation. In this case, you might want to consider reaching out to RWS Support for further assistance.

I hope these steps help you resolve the issue. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.

    Best regards,
