TM Corrupt Issue

I have SDL Trados Studio 2021 Freelance Plus. For some time, I have been having issues with the translation memory (translation memory file data is corrupt). I tried the solution of deleting the repository xml file but it did not work. Is there a way around this?

  • Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your translation memory in Trados Studio 2021 Freelance Plus. If the solution of deleting the repository xml file didn't work, you might want to try repairing the translation memory. Here's how you can do it:

    Step 1: Open Trados Studio.

Step 2: Go to the Translation Memories view.

Step 3: Right-click on the problematic translation memory and select 'Repair'.

If the problem persists, you might want to consider creating a new translation memory and importing the contents of the old one into the new one. Here's how:

    Step 1: Open Trados Studio.

Step 2: Go to the Translation Memories view.

Step 3: Click on 'New' to create a new translation memory.

Step 4: Once the new translation memory is created, right-click on it and select 'Import'.

Step 5: Navigate to the old translation memory file and select it for import.

Please remember to back up your translation memories regularly to prevent data loss.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Best regards,
