translation memories

Hi my name is Charlotte

I have been working for a while with Trados, filling in the new files and all looks fine

When I insert a new file in a project, the terms already translated are retrieved all right so to me it means that Studio has learnt the terms and they must be stored in some place

I do not find this place

Could anyone help me ?

I realized I had created TM files but they do not contain all the segments they should!! Probably I did something wrong or forgot to setup some tool?

  • Hi
Unfortunately this is only you, who can help. No one here in forum will know where did you store your translation memories. Use the Windows search utility to find all the *.sdltm files, then put them all in ONE place, maybe sorted by language pairs and/or customers in subfolder there.
But a clear and decent file and folder management is dearly necessary for all of us translators. Only the person in front of the PC can influence, where his or her files are stored. This is you who must know which folder you created for which file. So it is much better you think of a system, how to organise your files in the future.
