The reason is that this option to preserve SDLXLIFF comments in the target WORD has only been introduced recently and only for the DOCX format.

Is there a good reason for that not being possible for the ODT files? Or is it somehow possible to export comments while exporting the target to the ODT file? I'm using Studio 2021 and just came to the point where I want my comments to be exported to the target file. I have a lot of comments for the editor, so I need them in the exported target file (not the bilingual). I work on the ODT files as LibreOffice is my primary document editor and the Studio generally supports the ODT files. Now it seems it supports to a certain extent only. If I knew that beforehand, I would export all the documents to the docx (which is a simple thing to do under LibreOffice) before importing them to Studio and in that case I would have all the needed features. However, if this is the case, I would rather have the information at the beginning that the Studio's support for the ODT does not include comments.

Probably down to the capability of the API for ODT files.  I suggest you raise it as an idea at http://ideas.sdl.com and then you'll probably get a full response from the product team... one way or the other.
