file can't be recognized as billingual excel-I have changed filetype settings,but it doesn't work

I changed settinf in File-settings-filetype to make sure Trados Studio settings window with file types listed. Microsoft Excel 2007-2019 file type is highlighted with a red box around it.,but when I creat a new project,i,it's the same as default setting,it seems the change doesn't workTrados Studio new project window showing a selected Excel file with the file type identifier 'SpreadsheetML v. 1' highlighted in red.

  • I added file after change the filetype  settings,but the project template what I use is customred ,when I use default templates ,the change word and the file can be recognized as billingual excel.,like below oicture

    It looks to me as though you just need to move the Bilingual Excel above the mono-lingual Excel files in your file list:

    When you work with files that have an XLSX extension the first in the list will always be taken.  Studio has no clue you want the second one to be used as it's just Excel.  There is nothing in it to say "treat me as a special Excel".  So in your template move it above, or disable the top one.
