Well... that is a wonderful hallucination from TradosAI and I do wish this were true!  But it's not.

The only solutions, apart from adding all the different forms (which might not even be feasible) that we have at the moment are these:

1. try working with the Language Cloud terminology instead of MultiTerm as this has a "Linguistic Search option.  This is a feature that searches for text or terms that are similar to or a sub-part of the search term. It can retrieve all terms based on a word's stem or root, providing the perfect or nearest match first.  So this can often do a better job of what you're looking for.
2. try working with Trados Copilot AI Assistant using the OpenAI Provider for Trados.  This supports AI working with the terms in your Termbase and can also do a better job of ensuring you get the correct form for your translation even if it's not actually in your termbase at all... it just needs to be recognised as the correct term.

You will need the 2024 version for the second part.

Paul beat me to it! I wanted to suggest you play with the minimum match value if you use a file-based TB:

For cloud termbases you can use the standard settings or "linguistic" settings.

Standard:

Linguistic:

Linguistic should give you better results. There are some limitations with the Essential cloud package (the one that comes with Trados Studio), so make sure this is a good fit for you.

It doesn't recognise terms at all... the terms do need to be found first, so it won't help with that part.

However, we do have on our backlog some work to look at this because AI could clearly improve term recognition significantly, and now we have pretty much completed the separation of terminology from Studio (by separation I mean MultiTerm used to be completely coupled to Studio and you could not really develop anything to use all the term features in an integrated way with anything else) we can look at things like this.

Frankly we have so many exciting things to look at it's hard to know where to start!!
