Issue with Searching for Spaces in Studio 2024

An error related to searching for double spaces was reported in Studio 2022 as follows: "Error when searching for double spaces in Studio 2022"

I am now encountering a similar error in Studio 2024, even when searching for a single space.
This issue seems to occur when a Document Structure item contains multiple segments. In the following video, the item "P" contains three segments, but the second and third segments are not being searched.

Does anyone know of a workaround for this issue?
I frequently need to search for unnecessary spaces when working with non-space-delimited languages.

Thank you.

  • Hello,

I understand that you're experiencing an issue with searching for spaces in Trados Studio 2024, similar to a previously reported issue in Trados Studio 2022. I appreciate your patience and I'm here to help.

While the issue you mentioned was resolved in the next release of Trados Studio 2022 CU6, it seems like the problem has reoccurred in Trados Studio 2024.

Here's a workaround you can try:

Step 1: Open the document in Trados Studio.

Step 2: Go to the "Review" tab.

Step 3: Click on "Spelling and Grammar".

Step 4: In the "Spelling and Grammar" window, click on "Options".

Step 5: In the "Options" window, under "When correcting spelling in Trados Studio", check the box that says "Check grammar with spelling".

Step 6: Click "OK" to close the "Options" window.

Step 7: Back in the "Spelling and Grammar" window, click "Start" to begin the check.

This should help you identify and correct unnecessary spaces in your document.

Please note that this is a temporary solution and we are working on a permanent fix for this issue in the upcoming updates.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

    Best regards,
