AutoSuggest - suggestions no longer inserted by pressing Enter

Since about one month, suggestions are no longer inserted into the translation segment when pressing Enter (they do appear, but they are not applied). I was using Trados Studio 2022. As I was planning on switching to 2024, I put up with it, but I now installed Trados Studio 2024 (18.0.1.2259), and the same issue occurs. I checked if AutoSuggest is enabled, and it is, so that doesn't cause the problem.

Does anyone have any idea what could be the cause of this?

  • I installed CU12, but this problem still persists. It has been a year since CU10 was released and this issue first appeared, yet it remains unaddressed.

    Until CU9, users could press Enter to both insert AutoSuggest suggestions and confirm segments. However, now, if Enter is used to confirm a segment, it can no longer be used to insert AutoSuggest suggestions. This forces us to use two different keys for something that previously worked seamlessly with just one, ultimately reducing productivity—the exact opposite of what software updates should achieve.

    Could you please address this issue and restore the ability to use Enter for both actions? Thank you!
