I noticed recently that using Alt+Arrow up/down keys I can get Studio to put a frame around target segments:
(I mean the black frame around the target segment 1.)
But I can't see how I can use this, such as “copy text” or “move active segment” etc. Does anybody know what this frame is, and what it is used for?

I stumbled upon this feature when I was looking for a way to copy the text content of the two/three segments preceeding the active segment with a script - but there is no way to get from selecting a segment to copying its text content, is there?

The shortcut to select the previous segment is CTRL+UP arrow (or CTRL+DOWN to select the next segment). Is this what you need?
Then CTRL+A and CTRL+C to copy the target content.
This only works for segments that are still to be translated/reviewed. I am looking for a way to copy the source and target of the X (3, 5 …) segments prior to the active segment. I want to create a macro that hands the preceding segments to an AI in order to get a better flow of language. In German, you get sentences like “The moose was big.” “It was brown.” ⇾ “Der Elch war groß.” “Er war braun.” Where if you don't know that “It” refers to a moose you have no clue whether “he, she or it” is brown, but you have to know in order for the second sentence to be correct. This kind of thing. Or terminological consistency. If I speak of a moose, I don't want to switch to “elk” half-way down if translating German to English. (Both is “Elch” in German, but there is a “moose” and an “elk” in English, which I believe are somewhat different animals, which Germans don't mind because they don't live in Germany anyway.)
I think I can make the "Go To" function work for me. It's a bit clunky, but I think it will work.
Oh, sorry, I checked with non-translated segments.
To go to the previous segment, in AutoHotkey I go to the start of the actual segment (CTRL+PAGE UP) and then press UP arrow.
To go to the next segment, go to the end of the actual segment (CTRL+PAGE DOWN) and then press DOWN arrow.
Oh thanks, yes, that is likely better than using the Go To!
