DeepL AT not inserted in segments

Dear Community!

This is not the first time it happens to me: working on a document with a TM and DeepL as translation sources.

I have run the pretranslation task only with the TM activated to get 95-100% matches, and now I am translating the rest going down from segment to segment.

Where low % fuzzies are found, the program inserts them directly into the target segment. However, DeepL translations would appear only in the Translation results window, requiring Ctrl+T for their inserting into the segment.

Any idea of why this happens?

Thanks in advance!

"Question improvement suggestion": Please provide more information about the version of Trados Studio you are using, the operating system, and any recent changes or updates you have made to the software. Also, it would be helpful if you could share any error messages you have encountered.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

It seems like you're experiencing an issue where DeepL translations are not automatically inserted into the target segment in Trados Studio. This could be due to a number of reasons.

Step 1: Check your settings. Ensure that you have set up DeepL as your preferred translation provider and that it is enabled for automatic insertion.

Step 2: Check your internet connection. DeepL requires a stable internet connection to function properly.

Step 3: Update your software. Make sure you are using the latest version of Trados Studio.

Step 4: Reinstall the DeepL plugin. If the issue persists, you might want to try reinstalling the DeepL plugin for Trados Studio.

Remember, the translations from DeepL are suggestions and may not always be inserted automatically, especially if there are other matches from your TM that are considered more relevant by the software.

I hope this answer addressed your question. If not, please reject the answer, add the question improvement suggestion information, and click the RWS Community AI checkbox on the right to try again.

  • I do not want DeepL to be my preferred translation provider, I want to get fuzzies from my TM first. However, even if I change this setting, the issue persists. How do I enable the automatic insertion?
