Trados 2024 18.0.2.3255 Error Message - Unexpected exception when initializing view part AI assistant

Hi,

I've been running Trados for years, Trados 2024 since the start of the year. I now get the following error message(s) when I try to open a project:

Error dialog box with a red cross icon, titled 'Fehler', displaying the message 'Unexpected exception when initializing view part AI Assistant'.

Once I press okay to that one, the following appears:

Error dialog box with a red cross icon, titled 'Fehler', displaying the message 'Key not found: 'xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx' Parametername: key'.

The project(s) appear in the project list, but the errors come up when I try to load them.

I also already tried to restart the computer. I've deinstalled, then reinstalled Trados 2024, but nothing seems to work.

Has anyone encountered the same issue, and found a solution?

Sarina

    Hello Sarina,

Based on your description, it seems like you're encountering an issue when trying to open a project in Trados Studio 2024. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:

    Step 1: Close Trados Studio.

Step 2: Press Windows + R, type '%temp%' and clear the temporary files. This will help to remove any temporary files that might be causing the issue.

Step 3: Disable User Account Control via Control Panel. This step is optional and should be done with caution as it can affect the security of your system.

Step 4: Reset Trados Studio settings files. You can do this by navigating to the folder where Trados Studio stores its settings and deleting the files. Please note that this will reset all your settings to default.

Step 5: Run a repair through the installation wizard accessed from the Control Panel's 'Uninstall a program' section. This can help to fix any issues with the installation of Trados Studio.

If after following these steps the issue persists, it may be a specific problem with your installation or system. In this case, it would be helpful to have the exact error messages that you are seeing, as well as any recent changes to your system or Trados Studio before the issue started.

I hope this answer addressed your question. If not, please reject the answer, add the question improvement suggestion information, and click the RWS Community AI checkbox on the right to try again.
