Check in fails due to error "Confirmation statistics word count is greater than the total number of words"

Hi all,

My trados 2017 refuses to check in the project to server due to "Confirmation statistics word count is greater then total number of words" error. This is the fourth project in a row that shows this error message.

I have tried the following:

i. Batch task - word count

ii. Batch task - translation count

iii. batch task - analyze file

iv. ran verify and solved all quality problem messages

v. batch task - pre-translate

vi. - update project translation memory

vii - reinstalled trados altogether

still, I can't check in the project.

Honestly, I on my toes having to deal with this with no success at all my attempts to solve this. I am working on a big project and can't synchronize with my agency's server properly. I have been asking them to update their server using my sdlx files, but that's not how they expect me to deliver my translations (check in on their online server)

If anyone has any idea how to fix this, you'll be forever in my prayers

Thank you

"Question improvement suggestion": Please provide the exact version of Trados Studio 2017 you are using and the operating system of your computer. Also, it would be helpful to know if there were any recent changes to your system or software.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

I understand that you're having trouble checking in your project to the server due to the error "Confirmation statistics word count is greater than the total number of words". This issue was resolved with the Trados Studio 2017 release, but it seems you're still experiencing it.

Here are some steps you can try:

Step 1: Switch to the Files or Projects view in Trados Studio.

Step 2: Run the following Batch Tasks: Word Count, Translation Count, and Analyze Files.

Step 3: After applying these tasks, try to check-in the file to Trados Group Share again. The error message should not occur anymore.

If you are an (External) Translator in Trados Group Share, apply this solution from the Files view.

If the above workarounds are not successful and the bilingual sdlxliff file was already merged when it was added to the project, you may need to re-save the file and then try to check it in again.

I hope this answer addressed your question. If not, please reject the answer, add the question improvement suggestion information, and click the RWS Community AI checkbox on the right to try again.

  • Problem solved: I had to run analyze file repeatedly (and every attempt generated the same error message [statistics word count] and striked me out of the server - EVERY TIME).

Anyways, I justed oked every error message and repeatedly ran analyze file until the word count in the project file view's pane showed as "n/a".

Only then, I was allowed to check in
