Using REGEX with filters, seeing results in alpha order when using filters

I'm seeking to understand how to best use filters. Specifically, I'd like to:
a. be able to see results in alphabetical order
b. use REGEX for advanced filtering.

I'd also like to understand good use cases for using filters instead of searches, concordances, etc.

    a. be able to see results in alphabetical order

It’s not possible to sort the segments in alphabetical order in Trados Studio.

I'd also like to understand good use cases for using filters instead of searches, concordances, etc.

I heavily use filters instead of searches to quickly check that the translation of several segment is OK/consistent. To do so, Advanced Filter Display is very helpful:

Advanced Display Filter 2.0 interface showing options to apply filters, reverse, clear, highlight, generate, save, and import. Source and Target fields contain regex patterns.

If I use a filter often, I save it with the Save button, and open it later when needed (Import button)

Concordance is a different beast, as it looks up in your TM, not in the segments in Editor.

I use regex rules mainly in QA checks (2 possible places under Project Settings, taking the second one priority):

Comparison of two Project Settings views in Trados Studio. View 1 highlights Regular Expressions under QA Checker 3.0. View 2 shows Regular Expressions under Language Pairs.

You can use regex to customise how segmentation works in your files.

You can also use regex to create custome file types.

If there is something specific, don't hesitate to ask.
