So if we look at your screenshot you have 30 translated and 1 draft segment.  Assuming only translated count towards progress that gives you 30/175 which is 17.14% progress.  Looks about right.

If I recall correctly this method became a thing in 2022 and was changed because a "Segment = Unit of Work" and translators confirm segments, not words.  A file might have 1000 words in just 20 segments, or the same 1000 words spread across 100 segments. Segment-based progress reflects how much of the actual "click and confirm" work is done.  This is more accurate for mixed-content files where some segments might contain only tags, numbers, or placeholders, and a word count would either inflate or misrepresent progress.  By counting segments, Trados avoids confusion over “why a file with only 3 words still shows 0%”.

If you want other types of reporting you can customise the view (right-click) and choose to show progress with words instead of segments, or even better use a AIP report from your batch tasks for more granularity.
