There are formatting tags that you can’t see now, that might be the reason why they are not the same eventually.

If you need to check tags, In File > Options > Editor, select any option from the list Formatting display style but the one you have selected (Show formatting but hide recognized formatting tags):

ok, pick that option and you’ll see the explanation of why they are not the same, so it maybe OK to see Trados Studio replacing the whole segment with track changes (TC).

If that’s the way it works, I think there is not much you can do, but add manually the tags when the segment still has not track changes… At the end you will have the word Újrahasznosítás without TC and only the tags with TC. Not tested, but this is what I believe it will happen…

No matter what I do, I get track changes at some sentences, which I do not intend to correct :(

I use the same settings (at Automation, Auto-propagation, Revew) as in previous Trados Studio versions, and while the older versions work fine, Trados Studio 2024 does not. I tried to make a video, too, but the quality is not good :(

Do you mean that after confirming A letár, the 2 previous segments were corrected and added track changes?

If so, I can’t repro this behaviour in my Trados Studio 2024 with your XLIFF:

Do you confirm that you can repro it using the XLIFF you uploaded here?

Does it work if you select Always in File > Options > Editor > Auto-propagation to ask for confirmation (instead of Never).

I see that the Auto-propgation starts in the first segment, but you may want to check from that segment to the end of the file. If so, please select Next segment in document instead of First segment in the document. If you work for an agency, they usually inform the exact settings you need here. Certainly, the combination First segment in the document and Never is a big NO for me.

My settings are good (Next segment + Never; I tried with prompting, but it's annoying, and the problem stays the same).

The problem does not appear when confirming "A leltár" but after confirming the first "A leltár fontossága". When I do this, the second and third "A leltár fontossága" gets crossed over, and the same content is written there with track changes.

ok, I understand now your issue. I can’t repro it either in Trados Studio 2024. I edit a little segment 9 to show you I’m working with TC, undo that edits and then I confirm semgent 10. Segments 11 and 12 are OK:

Do you have your Trados Studio up-to-date? The build (in Help > About) should be Trados Studio 2024 - 18.0.2.3255. If your’s is below that, please update Trados Studio 2024.

As you can see "A leltár" changes to "Leltár", but without track changes, and "A leltár fontossága" gets deleted and written there again with track changes.

Thanks for that video, it was helpful.  I think I see part of your problem now at least, and I think it may be a bug - will check with support.

I filtered on just these with track changes on, and also disabled this option (just in case):

When I confirm the first one I get this:

I expected this to produce tracked changes since every one was affected.  This is the same in translation mode (with track changes activated) and review mode.

I also tried starting with a fresh file and the same thing happened.  In the absence of any other ideas I'll log this with support and see if they can either show us the error of our ways, or log a bug.
