Why error messages are displayed while "ignore numbers" is set in QA Checker settings?

QA is giving me error messages about terms like "Admin v. 2.0" telling me that the number should be 2,0 according to French rule, but the version number should not be part of this. I deactivate number verification in QA Checker 3.0 / Number, but the warning/error messages still appear. How can I get rid of this?

Question improvement suggestion: Provide specific details about the QA Checker settings you have adjusted and any other relevant configurations that might affect the behavior of the QA Checker.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

To address the issue of receiving error messages in the QA Checker despite having "ignore numbers" set, please follow these steps:

**Step 1:** Double-check your QA Checker settings. Ensure that you have correctly deactivated number verification in the QA Checker settings. Sometimes, settings may not save properly, so it’s worth rechecking.

**Step 2:** Review the specific rules you have set up in the QA Checker. If there are custom rules or regular expressions that might be conflicting with the number verification settings, consider adjusting or removing them.

**Step 3:** If the error messages persist, try resetting the QA Checker settings to default and then reconfigure them to see if that resolves the issue.

**Step 4:** Consider using regular expressions to create custom rules for specific cases you want to check, as this can help manage the QA process more effectively.

**Step 5:** If you are still encountering issues, it may be beneficial to check for updates to Trados Studio, as software updates can sometimes resolve bugs or issues with features like the QA Checker.

RWS Community AI failed to point out that if you make changes to the QA Checker settings under File>Options, these settings will only apply either when working under Translate Single Document, and/or in the settings of new projects you create based on your new settings.

If you wish to affect the verification of previously created projects, your own or your customer's, you need to make those QA settings in the project settings.

Project settings always overrule the same settings made under File>Options. Only the Editor settings under File>Options always influence Studio's behaviour in any sdlxliff open.

I hope I'm not telling you something you already know...

    All the best,
