Thank you AI, this didn't help, however, your 5th suggestion ("If the issue persists, consider reverting to a previous version of Trados Studio") makes me laugh: I paid quite a lot of money in the hope of receiving an advanced system, and now you suggest that I should revert to my old version... Great. How can I get my money back?

I think the AI answer always needs a bit of help, otherwise the answer could so wide and varied it's completely unhelpful.  In this case I don't see how it could possibly know anything concrete about your problem so it's been as helpful as it could... or not!!

Perhaps you can explain what you are expecting to see and when?  For example, terms are never automatically inserted into segments unless you are using AI.  So are you using AI or did you mean that you cannot insert terms manually with a keyboard shortcut?
