Question improvement suggestion: Provide details about any error messages received, the exact version of Trados Studio 2019 you are using, and any recent changes made to your system or software.
In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:
Hello,
It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with your projects not appearing in Trados Studio 2019. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this problem:
**Step 1:** Ensure that you are in the Projects view and that the filter is set to "Show all projects." You can find this option on the left side of the Projects view.
**Step 2:** Check if the projects are saved in a location that is accessible. If they are on a network drive, ensure that you have a connection to that drive when starting Trados Studio.
**Step 3:** Verify the file path for the `projects.xml` file. It should be located in `C:\Users\[Your Username]\Documents\Studio 2019\Projects`. Make sure this file is not set to Read-only.
**Step 4:** If you have recently upgraded or made changes to your system, consider renaming the Projects folder to something like "Projects_OLD" and then restarting Trados Studio to see if it resolves the issue.
**Step 5:** If the problem persists, try running Trados Studio as an administrator. Right-click on the Trados Studio icon and select "Run as Administrator."
If none of these steps resolve the issue, please provide any error messages you may have encountered, the exact version of Trados Studio 2019 you are using, and any recent changes made to your system or software. This information will help in diagnosing the problem further.

Have you or your computer installed any Windows updates recently? It is not Trados Studio removing the projects, but some other software obviously does delete or modify your Projects.xml file.

Hi Camelia,
Like Jerzy said, Trados does not remove projects by itself - there is something else doing that - perhaps a Widows update, perhaps something you changed recently in the file saving folders.
What Windows are you using? Where are your projects saved? Did you change paths for the projects recently? Did you perhaps move the projects to a different folder?
Are you saving them locally or using a shared space/OneDrive ?
If you click on Open Project and select the project you said disappeared, can you open it again and is it in the same folder/path as it was before?

Hi Anca and thank you very much. No Windows update (at least, as I know), the only thing I removed was the Folder Trados 2019 from OneDrive, but it was about 3 days before that happened. I save each project in a Client-name-Folder and no, didn´t change the path of all projects at a time... Anyway, I just done a small project with it and at least this project is there after closing and opening again, but it shows error: You tried to acces a protected path... (sorry, my Trados is in DE). Thank you to all.
So your files are located on OneDrive. But why did you delete the Studio 2019 folder? This is the reason of all your problems, as deleting this folder also deleted your Projects.xml (located there). Now Studio tries to restore this folder, but obviously it was installed under a different user name than yours and thus Studio cannot access the path Documents of your user. Again, not Studio is removing your projects, you did that.
Please remove the Documents folder from OneDrive and recreate the Studio 2019 folder. Working with Studio and OneDrive is asking for big trouble.

No, when were saved in OneDrive I was getting an error (No acces to the folder ... OneDrive...) and I found in Internet the solution to remove that folder. Trados asks akways where to be saved and after I removed Trados 2019 from OneDrive the error dissapeared and worked wtihout problems about 3-4 days or more. As I mentioned, I save each project in a Client-name-Folder, on the Desktop, in a folder named (this month) September (for invoicing reasons).
I think your desktop is also stored on OneDrive. And Trados Studio cannot work without the folder ...\Documents\Studio 2019
Deleting this folder is not a solution. What I suppose here, is a change in OneDrive behaviour on your computer. There was a big Windows update this week, so this would perfectly coincide with your problems.
Upgrade to TS 2024, as to my knowledge this version has no conflicts with OneDrive. Or deactivate the synchronisation of said Studio folder or use the option "Immer auf diesem Gerät behalten". This can also help resolving OD problems.
