Problem using updated .tmw translation memory on Trados 2015

Question

Hello, 
 
 I work with an agency that sends me .ttx files which I can usually work with without any issues, however, I've recently noticed that when using their TMs, I upgrade the .tmw to an .sdltm but I'm then unable to do concordance searches. Is this something anyone else has come across? I ask them to update the memory to an .sdltm file and I'm then able to use it properly which leads me to believe the issues is on my end.

Hi Christopher, 
 One possibility I guess is that the original Trados TM is full of old RTF tagging, so much so it is preventing decent matches. You could try upgrading with this application rather than through Studio as it removes all the unnecessary formattting that can fill these old TMs, especially with some languages: 
 
 Alternatively try lowering your match value for concordance and see if that helps?

 If it finds TMX then you are looking at the wrong thing... this app will not find TMX at all! You can create a new thread by going here and then click on the forum you wish to post into. Probably this one for this app:
