Unfortunately, it didn't work out because I have Trados 2022 and the instructions are only for versions up to Trados 2019.

The Default template is there, with corrct timestamp; the old one is not there (did you delete it?). I can’t see the full path, but I guess it’s right.

As you can see, I renamed the extension (SDLTPL to SDLTPL old). You may have renamed the file name instead, but the outcome should be the same, I guess… 

Did you change manually the path to this template? If you don’t know, you probably didn’t do it.

Did you manage to solve this issue, it is not clear.

Also, checking your account, you are on the one-year subscription which means you actually have Trados 2024 in your account, the subscription always keeps a user on the latest version, so you can use Trados 2024.

Hi Eleonora,

You can install Trados 2024 and if you decide to uninstall Trados 2022 just make sure to back up your files and translation memories, these are saved locally and Trados does not save anything internally and does not transfer information from one edition to another or even from the same editions when installing them again. 

One more thing I can suggest since it is not clear what happened there, you can try the reset to default state for Trados 2022 - it returns Trados to its initial state and pehaps whatever changed may be reverterd:

Just one last question, I have installed the 2024 version. But this is what I see in my RWS account: 

I actually cannot upgrade to the 2024 version.

Hi Eleonora,

You have a Trados Studio annual subscription and you renewed it - so this is what you see in the account - you purchased the renewal and the license is active until next year.

The article you checked is listing there perpetual licenses, which imply using activation codes and processing upgrades - you do not have that for your subscription, as you activate it via the cloud, by clicking Subscription on activation and using your details to activate it.

Also, you do not process an upgrade when you have a subscription, as there is nothing to process, the subscription always keeps the user on the latest edition of the software. The installer for Trados 2024 is in your account - Downloads section and you activate it as a subscription, not with a code.

Also, installing and activating Trados 2024 may not solve your issue with Trados 2022 - so I still suggest trying the reset to default for Trados 2022.

You are going to have two Trados software on your computer, with separate installers, folders, shortcuts etc.

Same for Multiterm.
