Problems with XML by Sitecorp

Good morning,

I am having problems with XML files exported from a website built in Sitecore.
Basically, when I import them, it does not recognise the code as tags, in addition to problems related to special characters (UTF-8).

Screenshot showing XML code with a link tag containing attributes such as id, linktype, text, anchor, url, title, and target. Italian text is visible below the code.
Are there specific settings for this type of tag?

Many thanks,

Question improvement suggestion: Provide specific details about the error messages encountered and the version of Trados Studio you are using.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

To address the issues you're experiencing with XML files exported from Sitecore, follow these steps:

**Step 1:** Ensure that the XML content is valid. Check for any special characters that may not be properly encoded. Characters like `<` and `>` should be replaced with their corresponding HTML entities (`<` and `>`).

**Step 2:** Review the embedded content processor settings in Trados Studio. Go to **Project Settings > File Types > Embedded Content Processors** and ensure that the HTML 5 processor is configured correctly. You may need to disable "Enable entity conversion" under the Entities settings.

**Step 3:** If you encounter issues with CDATA sections, ensure that the elements containing CDATA are set to "Structure" instead of "Inline" in your file type settings.

**Step 4:** If the XML file contains tags that are not recognized, consider using a different embedded content processor, such as the Plain text embedded content processor, or define regex rules to handle the content appropriately.

**Step 5:** If you continue to face problems, try removing any invalid characters as indicated in the error messages or consider modifying the source XML file to ensure it adheres to the expected structure.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issues with importing your XML files into Trados Studio.
